Thriving Kirklees crisis support

Thriving Kirklees is the partnership providing health and wellbeing services for Kirklees children and young people aged 0-19 years and their families.

Touchstone Well-bean Café crisis support

The Well-bean Crisis Café provides a safe space for Kirklees residents who are experiencing crisis. The cafe offers a warm person-centred approach to crisis support and is available every night from 6pm-midnight.

Luke's Lads

Luke's Lads encourages and supports men to talk about their feelings in an alternative environment. They offer support sessions offering a safe place to speak. They are based in Heckmondwike, Kirklees.

Men’s Talk

Men’s Talk  is a creative advocacy project for men with experience of mental health issues. They aim to engage men in a creative process which enables them to explore their experiences of mental health.

Move Enjoy Network

Run by Batley Bulldogs Rugby Club, the Move Enjoy Network is a project aimed at improving men’s mental health and fitness. Refferals and walk ins welcome Tuesdays and Thursdays.

PARENTS Online

PARENTS Online offers text-based emotional support to parents/carers who may have experienced separation from children or a relationship breakdown, which is a key factor in suicide. The service can be used anonymously and is staffed by trained peer support workers with their own lived experience of parenting. Available Monday-Friday 6pm-9pm.

Peer Talk

Peer Talk provides a network of peer support group meetings for people who experience depression, anxiety and similar distress.

Platform 1

Platform 1 is a charity in Huddersfield working with men that have lived in isolation due to their illness. Men can choose their own recovery, at their own pace,  in a safe and non-judgemental environment.

Andy’s Man Club

Andy’s Man Club offers real, non-judgmental, talking groups for men aged 18+. The charity is based nationally across the UK. They meet every Monday at 7pm (except bank holidays).

Kooth

Kooth is a digital mental health and wellbeing company working to provide a welcoming space for digital mental health care, available to all.

Grief and Loss Support Service

The West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership Grief and Loss Support Service is for anyone suffering any form of grief and loss, or those worried about losing someone, whether this relates to a family member, friend or member of their community.

NHS Northern Gambling Service

The NHS Northern Gambling Service provides specialist addiction therapy and recovery to people affected by gambling addiction, as well as those with mental health problems.

Offload - Rugby League Cares

The Offload project involves men engaging with current and former players to learn the techniques clubs use to manage players’ mental and physical fitness.

West Yorkshire Suicide Bereavement Service

West Yorkshire Suicide Bereavement Service provides practical and emotional support to people who have been affected by a suicide bereavement. In Kirklees and Leeds, this includes support for children and families. 

Veterans Mental Health Complex Treatment Service

Veterans Mental Health Complex Treatment Service provides an enhanced service for military veterans who have service attributable, complex mental health problems many of whom will have experienced trauma, which has not been resolved earlier in the care/support pathway.

Combat Stress

Combat Stress is a charity for veterans' mental health. They help former servicemen and women deal with issues like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression.

Harmless

Harmless is a user led organisation that provides a range of services about self-harm and suicide prevention including support, information, training and consultancy to people who self-harm and those at risk of suicide.  They also offer support and training to service users’ friends, families and professionals who are involved in their care.
