Time for a new job?  Vacancy in suicide prevention

Come and join our movement to make suicide prevention everyone’s business and help lead the work to achieve zero deaths by suicide across West Yorkshire.  

This is an exciting new part-time (18.75 hour) developmental role to support the West Yorkshire Suicide Prevention Strategy delivery.

In this exciting, collaborative and creative role, you will:

  • embed excellent communications, including leading on the website development
  • support project and programme delivery
  • understand the power of partnerships, fostering helpful and developmental relationships across the health and care partnership and beyond.  

You will bring people and organisations together under our vision to achieve zero suicides, delivering an agreed plan of work. In a team of two, you will work closely with the Suicide Prevention Project Manager as part of the broader Improving Population Health Programme and suicide prevention networks across West Yorkshire.

We work in an ambitious, values-led and collaborative way with partners, including the voluntary sector, NHS services, public health, police, etc.  

The West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership (WY H&CP) is the regional integrated care board www.wypartnership.co.uk.   

The role will be hosted temporarily within Wakefield CCG, with a transfer to the new Health and Care Board from 1 July 2022.
