Bereaved by Suicide Service Administrator

(Fixed-term until December 2022)

The Bereaved by suicide project supports people in the immediate aftermath of a suicide. This administration role is a vital part of this project which provides support to those bereaved by suicide across Leeds and West Yorkshire. 

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • High level of IT skills, proficient with a wide range of Microsoft Office programmes (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint) 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to respond professionally to service users with a range of needs including challenging callers/those in distress/ professional referrals 
  • Ability to analyse statistical data and develop reports

Senior Postvention Practitioner

(Fixed-Term until October 2022)

This is an opportunity to join its exciting postvention service, providing timely and person-centred support to those bereaved by suicide. You would be managing a passionate team of practitioners with lived experience while supporting a small caseload of clients yourself.

Leeds Mind have two services currently funded by WY&H ICS and Public Health Leeds, meaning they can provide support across Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds, Greater Huddersfield, and Wakefield. This post supports the Service Lead in the management of both services and ensuring effective, high quality support is provided when people need it the most.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Personal experience of being affected by a suicide bereavement.
  • Excellent organisational, time management and administration skills
  • Passion for Postvention
  • Willing and able to access to travel across the Yorkshire and Harrogate region.   
  • Knowledge of postvention and the impact of suicide bereavement
  • Proven experience of line managing a small team of staff and/or volunteers.
  • Experience of producing monitoring reports to deadlines.
