An annual international conference has been organised for September to “inform and guide professionals” who come into contact with those bereaved by suicide and those in position to influence policy and practice.
Suicide Bereavement UK’s 12th international conference ‘Stand By Me’ has been organised, in collaboration with Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust, to take place on Thursday September 28th.
It is a ‘hybrid event’, held in-person at the Mecure Manchester City Hotel but also partly online as well.
Running from 9am to 4.30pm, the day will cover a variety of topics including suicide bereavement in the UK Armed Forces community, trauma-affected sleep and research into suicide in children and young people.
Organisers say material at the conference is presented in a factual manner, so is not suitable for people bereaved by suicide during the early stages of loss and/or struggling to cope with their loss.
More information on the day, including the programme and how to book, is available on Suicide Bereavement UK’s website.
