'Promoting Emotional Health and Wellbeing and Preventing Suicide: A Resource for Care Home Settings' has been published through the Association of Directors of Public Health, Yorkshire and Humber, and was developed in collaboration with public health specialists in healthy ageing and mental health and suicide prevention, and clinical psychologists specialising in the mental health needs of older adults.

It was developed in response to a suicide in a care home and aims to offer further information and advice around preventing suicides as well as intervention with those at risk and action to take following a suicide (postvention).

*A 'lunch and learn' session has also been organised to promote this new resource and will include presentations on managing suicide risk among residents of older adult care homes. It takes place online on October 24th 1-2pm.
