A funding pot to help people set up community-led activities in Kirklees has reopened for new bids.
The Community Plus Fund is now open with a deadline for applications of April 14th at 12 noon.
Individuals, community groups or Third Sector organisations, such a charities or CICs, looking to set up a new or expanding project or activity can send in their applications to be reviewed by panels made up of members of the public, Kirklees VCS sector and the council..
The grants can be used to help set up activities which grow community capacity, connect people, reduce isolation and loneliness, develop skills or increase people’s self-confidence and self-esteem – all factors which link with suicide prevention work.
Funds available includes grants for individuals of up to £200, small grants of up to £10,000 and also larger grants up to £25,000.
